After the ceremony not only the newlyweds but the whole wedding party looks forward to the celebration. The couple drives in their chosen car to the venue, where the guests are already waiting to raise a glass of sparkling wine. Friends and clubs have usually prepared games or surprises.

Preparations

For many people their own wedding is meant to be one of the most beautiful days of their life. For that wish to come true, preparations have to start early and be well planned. The invitations should go out in good time so that guests can save the date, and if some are travelling from afar, the planning should include hotel or guesthouse accommodation. The mood of the party needs attention too: anyone who thinks a wedding party takes care of itself is often mistaken – entertaining the guests is regularly underestimated. Even if family members prepare games for the couple and the guests, it is worth considering a band or an entertainer. Food has to be chosen early, the hall or restaurant must be booked and decorated, and the table decoration should be picked with care.

Family and friends often help, but a lot of work stays with the couple. Draw up a plan early on that says who does what and when – including the jobs taken over by family and friends.
